What I didn't know was that the body was a machine that works better in certain circumstances and if it's given fuel in specific ways and that we can work with our body to maximize its ability to digest food, increase energy, sleep better, reduce stress, look and feel younger and that magically....
There are foods that specifically nourish the various systems of our bodies!
If you were to go to your local grocery and look for foods to nourish your digestive system so that it could become stronger, digest foods better, decrease stomach acids and alleviate heart burn naturally, where would you look?
I didn't know either.
I knew that fried food was bad and that salt was bad. That was it. I began a journey of reading everything I could get my hands on about natural health, fitness, exercise, juicing, macrobiotics, fasting and then began to put it into practice. I found out what works and what doesn't work. I kept what worked, and discarded what doesn't work. What I now know is that what doesn't work for me, might work for someone else of a different body type.
the amazing thing is that most overweight people are the same body type. The same type as me.

I've been there and I've done that. I used to drive from McDonalds to McDonalds and I would get a big, shake and large fries at each one. I didn't want the drive through girl or guy to think that I was eating too much. I'd drive from donut shop to donut shop, getting a 6-pack of donuts at each one and eat them while I was driving to the next donut shop.
I even used the "pregnant wife" trick one time so that the donut girl thought that, first of all, I wasn't too obese to have a girlfriend or wife and secondly that it was her pregnancy and cravings that was the reason I was getting the donuts.... not for me of course.
Then at my highest weight of 475 pounds, the proverbial "stuff hit the fan". I was sitting at home after a night of driving the night shift at my taxi company when I had what I refer to as my "episode".
My heart freaked out on me,
I couldn't breathe and
my life flashed in front of my eyes
I saw my parents finding me, a 22 year old 500 pound fat slob with nothing to show for his life and it scared the pants off me. I had to do something about it but I didn't know what. All I knew was that fried foods were bad and salt was bad so that's where I started, but the rest was amazing..... life long, easily to implement, lifestyle habits that forever changed who I was and what I was to become!
What I learned and applied over the next few years took me on an incredible journey of health and fitness. I went on to drop 288 pounds of fat and gain over 50 pounds of lean fat burning muscle tissue and now I want to share these same secrets of health with you.
